The parent controls account setup
A parent or legal guardian creates the family account and student profile, confirms consent, and receives the student's Junio login. A child should not create a parent account or submit another person's contact details.
Student information we use
- Profile details needed to place and support the learner, including nickname, age or grade, interests, device access, and prior experience.
- Learning activity including responses, quizzes, project links, prompts, reflections, progress, attendance, tutor questions, feedback, reports, and assessment results.
- Limited account and security records needed to sign the learner in and protect access.
Who can see it
- The learner and their verified parent or guardian.
- Tutors assigned to the learner's course or cohort, only for teaching, feedback, and support.
- Authorized Junio administrators who need access to operate or protect the program.
- Hosting and technology providers acting for Junio under appropriate instructions.
AI tools and student safety
Students are taught not to enter passwords, home addresses, private school records, or other sensitive information into public AI tools. Unless a learning activity clearly says otherwise, students should use fictional or non-sensitive examples. Junio does not use a student's private course work to train a public AI model.
Projects, certificates, and public sharing
Student work is private by default. Junio will seek separate parent permission before placing identifiable work in a public gallery, testimonial, or promotion.
Certificate verification links are meant to be shared deliberately. Public verification pages are kept out of search indexing and shorten the learner's displayed name. A parent can ask Junio to revoke a shared certificate link.
Parent and learner rights
- Ask what child information Junio holds and receive a usable copy.
- Correct an inaccurate profile or learning record.
- Ask for deletion where Junio has no overriding legal, safety, or record-keeping reason to retain it.
- Withdraw optional sharing consent without affecting already completed private learning.
- Raise a safety or privacy concern without retaliation in the course.
When enrollment ends
Access is limited when an enrollment ends. Junio may retain a minimal course and certificate record for verification, safety, accounting, and dispute purposes. Parents can contact support to ask which records remain and whether they can be deleted or de-identified.
